Choosing the perfect Mandap design for your wedding is very essential. As a wedding planner i suggest my clients to go for a design that has a combination of fabric and flowers. An all flower Mandap can damage your entire wedding budget.Here are some tips to help u choose your design.

Style

 Look at reference images from the net and collect some that suit your taste and color scheme the most. Another thing to keep in mind is, the location (indoor/outdoor), so you can look at mandap design (open/closed) options accordingly.


Seating 


Give importance to the seat inside the Mandap. You and your Beau will have to sit for a long period. Make sure its comfortable.


Position

The mandap should ideally be facing north east and the couple should be facing east.
The mandap should be such that its visible to the guests from every angle.


Decor 

There is so much to experiment with from flowers to fabrics or satin. But the more things you add the more goes your budget. Do not overdo or under do your mandap.Choose a design based on your wedding theme and style but dont forget the budget.


Light

The mandap is a focal point in your wedding and needs to be well lit. Consider the time of the wedding , evening or afternoon and whether it is indoors or outdoors and light up accordingly.


Cost

All flower mandap can cost you huge while a combination of fabric and flowers will come easy on pocket . Crystals again are costly. But it is not necessary for a gorgeous beautiful mandap to be costly. Interesting use of fabric and lights in mandap can cut down on your cost while adding up to the beauty of the decor.

We are grateful to the bride Soumi who put all her trust in us and let us decor the event freely. And we were looking to experiment . Here is the final result for you.  The stage was done with bougainvillea flowers , simple yet unique design just the way she wanted it . followed by a gaudy mandap. and the buffet area .
